It's 60 minutes and lots of fun! Including about ten minutes of historical documents, photos and narration, the rest of Living Steam HD shows the volunteers and employees of the Nevada State Railroad Museum firing up the #22 Inyo steam locomotive in October, 2007. See many details of the people and process involved in running these steam trains from the historic Virginia and Truckee Railroad. Included in the video are the #22 Inyo wood-burning locomotive, the #4 passenger car coming out for the first time in 18 years, plus the workhorse #8 oil-burning locomotive, the #57 V&T wrecking car, the #10 passenger car, the #24 V&T caboose restored as the Nevada Copper Belt #3, and the #53 V&T tunnel car. There is also footage of the #401 Tuscon, Cornelia and Gila Bend motorcar in action. |
