MEETING NOTES FROM THE NEVADA COMMISSION FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE VIRGINIA AND TRUCKEE RAILWAY
WARNING: These unofficial minutes most certainly contain implicit or explicit editorializing! Read at your own risk! When you see “IMHO” (in my humble opinion) you know it probably won't be humble.
AUGUST 4, 2008 meeting – As John Tyson said in Commissioner's Comments, this meeting may have set a record for the shortest meeting yet! It was about fifty minutes, aside from some public comment there wasn't too much unusual about this meeting.
WARNING: These are not official meeting minutes! These are prepared by Jim Lohse of Reno Railfans and the Virginia Truckee Railroad Historical Society

What a short meeting (though I am not complaining). Both me and a Carson City supervisor candidate explained that we were having difficulty getting documents after making public records requests. Read on...
4 PUBLIC COMMENT ON NON-AGENDIZED ITEMS
Mrs. Johnny Saylor approached the podium and said she didn't know if she should speak during Public Comment or during the Northern Nevada Railway Foundation Report. Chairman Hadfield advised her to speak during the Foundation Report if she could wait, so that more people who might come later could hear her.
Dennis Johnson (Candidate for Carson City Supervisor Ward 2 against Shelly Aldean) spoke about his frustration getting project documents after making a request of Project Attorney Mike Rowe. He said, “On July 20 I made a request to review some records, it was acknowledged on July 21, I have not heard back from either you Commissioner Hadfield or Mr. Rowe. I'd just like to know if there's going to be a follow up for that ... I don't ask for copies, just for review.”
Chair Hadfield asked, “what records are those?” Johnson said he could re-send the email.
